Six practical and doable commitments:

MAKE LIFE MORE AFFORDABLE FOR FAMILIES.  Ontario’s NDP will provide a health tax rebate of up to $450 for very person making less than $80,000- saving up to $900 for a two income family.

WE WILL ENSURE A FAIR DAY’S PAY FOR A HARD DAY’S WORK.  Ontario’s NDP will put people’s job first. We will raise the minimum wage to $10 an hour NOW, and we will roll back Dalton McGuinty’s extravagant $40,000 pay raise.

WE WILL MAKE SURE ALL KIDS GET THE EDUCATION THEY DESERVE. Ontario’s NDP will stop forcing parents to raise money for school essentials. We will provide the resources needed by children with autism and special needs.

WE WILL REMOVE BARRIERS TO UNIVERSITY, COLLEGE AND TRAINING. Ontario’s NDP will roll back post-secondary tuition fees to pre-McGuinty levels and then freeze them.  We will eliminate classroom fees for apprenticeships, saving $400 on average.

WE WILL REDUCE HOSPITAL WAITS. Ontario’s NDP will take the pressure off hospitals, ERs, and family caregivers by expanding home care and guaranteeing a daily 3 ½ hours of personal care in long term care homes.

WE WILL PROTECT OUR CHILDREN’S HEALTH AND ENVIRONMENT. Ontario’s NDP will establish a Right-to-Know law that ensures families know what toxins and other environmental hazards are in our food, air, ground and water.
